Educators and Health Care Professionals:
Join us for a presentation on February 21, 2013, by Dr. Peg Dawson on Executive Dysfunction at Home and at School. Dr. Dawson will present a symposium for regional professionals and educators from 4-6pm and then will follow with a presentation for parents from 7-9pm.
The learning objectives include:
• Understanding executive skills within the context of brain development.
• Identifying how executive skills impact school performance and daily living.
• Developing a repertoire of strategies to improve executive skills in students. These will include strategies to modify the environment to reduce the impact of weak executive skills and procedures such as coaching that can be used to teach children how to improve specific executive skill deficits in the context of home or school performance expectations.
